This What’s It Worth? analysis is requested by Adam D., who owns a small construction business in Wisconsin.

Adam is considering upgrading his 2018 John Deere 333G compact track loader, which has about 1,100 hours, to something newer. Before he makes a decision, he wants to know what it’s worth to see what he might expect to receive if he sells at an upcoming auction or as a trade-in at his local dealership.

John Deere 333G Compact Track Loader Auction Value

Digging into the compact track loader auction values in the Tractor Zoom database, we find the average price of John Deere 333Gs sold in the past six months and filtered by the year 2018 is $35,270.

One of the most recent sales of a John Deere 333G is a 2018 John Deere 333G with 1,017 hours that sold for $57,600 on February 15, 2024. This compact track loader includes a pallet fork attachment in addition to the 84” bucket.

In October of 2023, our Tractor Zoom data indicated compact track loaders’ supply had tripled year over year. Now in early 2024, we’re experiencing the effects of that oversupply at auctions and dealerships. Action values have dropped about 20% since February 2023 and the dealer list price declines aren’t too far behind. However, we know March is one of the two biggest months for sales.

Hear from Andy Campbell, Director of Insights, on this trend for compact track loaders and skid steers.

John Deere 333G Compact Track Loader Retail Value

Looking into values on the dealership side, we see the average list price of model year 2018 John Deere 333Gs at dealerships is $71,078 across 41 machines sold in the past six months.

This additional information about retail values helps inform Adam about the direction he could take to trade in or sell at auction.

As of this article publishing, Tractor Zoom has over 400 active John Deere 333Gs featured on the website, and 25 of those are model year 2018.

Assessing Equipment Value

It’s important to note that the above is not a complete evaluation or valid estimate of Adam’s tractor. Additional information, such as condition, track tread, pallet forks attachments, or hydraulic hookups will influence the estimated value.

Sellers looking for an equipment appraisal should work with their bank or local equipment dealer or auctioneer to receive a formal appraisal on their piece of equipment.

Anyone looking to understand and monitor the value of their equipment can build Equipment Lists at Tractor Zoom. Equipment Lists not only help you build an accurate representation of what your equipment inventory looks like and is worth, they also help you prepare the information you need to secure a formal appraisal from a bank or local equipment dealer when it’s time to sell.
