CLAAS had breakthrough success with its next iteration, the SUPER combine, launched in 1946. The SUPER enabled grain to be threshed in a cross-flow operation, was built as a lightweight machine, and later featured a hydraulic control system. Between 1946 and 1978, CLAAS produced more than 65,000 units of the SUPER combine harvester.

Since the start of its innovation with harvesters, CLAAS has continued to design and develop state-of-the-art combine technology that suits farm operations of all sizes.

The HERCULES model from 1953 was the company’s first self-propelled combine harvester; the SENATOR in 1967 debuted the seed-green machine color and hallmark red CLAAS lettering; the MEGA from 1993 enhanced crop output by up to 30%; the LEXION 480 in 1996 was equipped with a larger threshing drum and other performance-boosting components that helped operators reach new heights in the fields.

• LEXION 8000-7000: The LEXION 8000-7000 TERRA TRAC series combines are built with grain tanks that hold up to 510 bushels and unloading speed of 5.1 bushels/second.

• LEXION 6900-6800: The LEXION 6000 Straw Walker Combine has a grain tank that holds up to 425 bushels and unloads at 5.1 bushels/second.

• TRION 740: The TRION 740 and 740 TERRA TRAC have grain tank capacities of 341 bushels and unloading rate of 3.8 bushels/second.
